Carrollwood - Uniforms


	CARROLLWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MANDATORY UNIFORM POLICY Dear Parents, Last year we surveyed our school community and 95% of the parents at Carrollwood expressed their wish that we continue our mandatory uniform policy. The school uniform is to be worn Monday through Thursday. Friday is designated as Spirit Day and students should wear the school T – Shirt with jeans or shorts. Research supports that the wearing of school uniforms: Provide a sense of pride and self esteem and allows students to focus on the learning process Saves time and money Creates greater school recognition and helps maintain a safe and secure environment Students in uniform are easily identified by staff at schools and at school related activities Uniforms allow staff to easily recognize visitors on our campus When wearing the school uniform, no logo or writing other than the school logo is allowed. Our school uniform is: Shirts: white, royal blue, grey, or yellow/gold polo style shirts with collar (shirts may be short or long-sleeved, with or without school logo.) School shirts and spirit shirts with school logos may be purchased online at http://hootiewear.com Pants/Walking Shorts; khaki or navy blue pants, or khaki or navy blue shorts. Skirts, Skorts, or Jumpers: Khaki or navy blue skirts or skorts, khaki or navy blue jumpers; white collared shirts are to be worn under jumpers. Winter Wear: Gray or royal blue sweatshirt/suit. Coordinating winter wear items will be available for purchase through Beall's N. Dale Mabry. Uniform items with the exception of embroidered or screen printed shirts, may be found at a variety of stores: Target Wal-Mart Sears J.C. Penney Dillard’s Burdines Beall’s If a parent wishes to OPT-Out of the uniform policy, they may make an appointment with the Principal to come in and sign an Opt-Out form.
